After I found the tempest, I came across this, another Roger Linn creation. Dude is a beast! But I can’t help but wonder if this might already be possible on an iPad to a certain extent?

Two legends come together for this right here. Probably gonna be my next purchase. Creator of the mpc with the creator of the prophet? And pure analog? Gotta have it.

So I just discovered this virtual core midi thing for iOS devices. It basically allows apps running in the background to receive midi messages from other apps running. Crazy crazy progress for iOS musicians. iOS is getting closer and closer to becoming just as powerful as any other daw.

Anyhow, above is a Vid of me messing with it for the first time. I’m using SoundPrism to control nlog and samplewiz….

The Mascot Totem from Shish Brody on Vimeo.

From the People who brought you Cole Sweat, Shish Brody comes through again with another video!

“1 LOVE T.O. was approached by Totem Resolve to create a custom skate deck with the help of illustrator Mike Del Mundo. The initial concept was to use Toronto landmarks to create a visual that represented the “Heart of the City”. After a few brainstorming sessions, the idea shifted from city landmarks to city mascots, including three animals; the Toronto Blue Jay, the Maple Leafs Polar Bear, and the Toronto Raptor. We decided to take the concept one step further with the help of sculptor Eugene Paunil. The original Totem Pole illustration has been brought to life in a one-of-a-kind 3D cardboard sculpture. Watch the video to see Eugene work his magic.”

Music by me! Off the Blake Carrington – Dare 2 dream mixtape.

Finally here. Put a lot of work into this. But extremely happy with the outcome.

Dir. by Shisch Brody

Big shout out to Eugene Paunil for designing/creating the masks!

I’ve been slaving at this video for the past couple weeks. Here’s a sneak peak.

It’s finally here…. Years in the making… Not complete, but up.

Please look around!

K-OS’ new album “Yes!” hit stores yesterday…  As well as the remix album “Yes! It’s Yours” which is the remix album.

Track #9 “Fun!” on the remix album is produced by me.  But the name is mispelled “Fun! – Ric’s Notes Remix”  which really has me a bit disappointed in whoever handled that shit.  But we’re in the process of fixing it up.  The first run of CD’s is already done, so there’s nothing they can do there, but hopefully they can fix it for the iTunes.

Anyway, be sure to check out the album.  I haven’t really checked it yet, but my remix is DOPE… and so are some of the other ones.

And the tune “I wish I Knew Natalie Portman” is ridiculous.  Produced by Rich Kidd.  Definitely go and check that out.

peace

Ric Notes

aka

“Ric’s Notes”… i guess…

If you haven’t heard, K-OS had a contest to remix his album, and is putting out a CD of the remixes to company the original “Yes!” album when it hits stores.

Okay, I know a project shouldn’t take away from the blog, but I found out about this thing late, and I had a week to complete the whole album, so I didn’t have time to sleep, let alone blog…

Anyway, the outcome, you can find below. It turned out pretty crazy, not your regular Ric Notes shit. On some very different vibe. I haven’t done anything like it before, and might not do anything like it after.

I’ma come with a zshare zip of the whole thing once the contest is over.
